Believe it or not, it’s been 20 years since Halo 2 debuted on the original Xbox. That’s a big milestone, and Dark Horse is celebrating by releasing an epic new statue of Master Chief in action.
IGN can exclusively debut the first images of the Halo 2: Master Chief 20th Anniversary Statue. Get a closer look in the slideshow gallery below:
The Halo 2: Master Chief 20th Anniversary Statue features Chief with rifle blazing as he slides down the side of an exploding spacecraft. It measures 9” by 11” by 8.5” and features LED lights powered by USB.
This polyresin statue is based on the artwork of Craig Mullins. It was sculpted by Bigshot Toyworks, with prototyping and paintwork by J.W. Productions.
The Halo 2: Master Chief 20th Anniversary Statue is exclusive to Dark Horse Direct and is limited to 1000 pieces worldwide. You can preorder the statue on Dark Horse Direct. It’s priced at $219.99, though those who preorder by April 9 will get a $20 discount.
While you wait for this statue to be released, why not check out the Xbox collectibles available on the IGN Store?
In other Halo news, Season 2 of the live-action series recently hit Paramount+. In IGN’s Halo: Season 2 review, Hayden Mears wrote, “Halo Season 2 is indeed a step-up from its predecessor, but the show’s chronic inability to manage its many disparate threads, coupled with its pervasive hollowness, continues to work against it. The acting remains a highlight, even if most of the main cast don’t get nearly enough to do. But while stunning action and high stakes may keep these 8 episodes watchable, Halo’s character mismanagement, unfocused plotting, and lack of emotional resonance make it an underwhelming sophomore outing.”
