UK esports organisation Guild Esports has announced it will host an influencer event to support the launch of the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 4 movie.

In collaboration with Universal Pictures UK, the organisation will host a Street Fighter 6 tournament at its gaming facility in Shoreditch, London.

The Dragon Warrior Cup will take place on March 22nd and will see Guild Esports‘ Street Fighter player Chiu ‘Rainpro’ Chin-yat competing in the tournament. Attendees can also participate for a chance to win a variety of prizes. In addition to Rainpro, grime artist P Money has been confirmed to attend.

The event will be operated by Guild Studios, Guild Esports’ production arm, which looks to provide creative production and marketing services to esports stakeholders such as brands and media owners.

Guild Esports first entered Street Fighter esports in August 2023 in collaboration with telecommunications company Sky. To announce the expansion, the organisation hosted a tournament with a team of coaches and scouts aiming to cultivate non-professional Street Fighter players based in the UK.

Guild Esports continues to consolidate its position as one of the most notable esports organisations in the UK. In February 2024, the organisations launched the Parental Power Up, an educational course for parents to learn about the benefits of gaming and esports.

Jasmine Skee, CEO of Guild Esports, spoke on hosting the Dragon Warrior Cup: “We’re delighted to have been tasked with the creation and production of this event for Universal Pictures’ UK launch of Kung Fu Panda 4.

“We know that Gen Z can be hard to reach but the gaming audience is one of the most engaged within this cohort – and we’re looking forward to showcasing our Guild Studios’ capabilities and delivering a stand-out influencer event to promote the launch of this latest instalment.”
