French esports organisation Team Vitality has announced its exit from the StarCraft II esports scene after two years.

The organisation entered the real-time strategy (RTS) title in 2024, recruiting four South Korean players to compete in high-profile tournaments.

In a video posted on social media, the organisation thanked the trio of Cho ‘Maru‘ Seong-ju, Kim ‘Ryung‘ Dong-won, and Park ‘Zoun‘ Han-sol, along with General Manager Choi ‘CranK‘ Jae-won for competing under the Team Vitality banner.

During his time on the team, Maru achieved a wealth of success in several tournaments across the world. In 2025, he won DreamHack Dallas while scoring a top-eight finish at the Esports World Cup. In addition to individual accolades, the organisation finished second in the World Team League 2024 Summer.

Team Vitality’s departure from StarCraft esports coincides with the title’s omission from this year’s Esports World Cup line-up. Following the decision not to include the title, the community continues to share its frustration surrounding the lack of StarCraft II and an RTS title at the multi-title event.

As a result of the organisation’s exit, the trio has reunited under the ONSYDE banner. Launched in 2022, the team split between Team Vitality and OFFSYDE Esports in 2024 before returning to compete in the 2026 season.

Another Team Vitality Move

Throughout the first quarter of 2026, Team Vitality has continued to make a range of moves to cement its place as one of the world’s largest esports organisations. On March 5th, it signed 2024 French chess champion Jules Moussard to compete in upcoming tournaments.

Elsewhere, Team Vitality committed further to sim racing following its exit from the RENNSPORT R1 competition. As part of it, the organisation signed three Gran Turismo drivers to compete in the upcoming World Series season.

Moreover, Team Vitality continues to attract notable brands as partners. February saw it secure a partnership with French retailer E.Leclerc to work on initiatives promoting wellness and nutrition.
