Shortly following the launch of Apex Legends Season 28, developer Respawn unexpectedly shared a roadmap up to Season 32 for the live-service battle royale. The year ahead includes two new Legends, a new weapon, an update to battle royale mode (pubs), and overhauls for looting, weapons, and Legends.
The look ahead is exciting, but slightly shadowed by the lackluster reception of Season 28 by the playerbase. This season’s change to ranked—the removal of POI specific drop ships—has been met with vocal dissatisfaction, which may have prompted Respawn to share what players have to look forward to.
