TL;DR

  • Prime Gaming is offering ten free games, including headliners Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and Total War: ATTILA, which you can claim in February.
  • In addition to downloadable freebies, Prime members can also stream Alan Wake 2 and Indiana Jones DLC via Amazon Luna at no extra cost this month.

If you’ve grown bored of grinding the same games week after week, Prime Gaming might be your Hail Mary. Every month, members can redeem a rotating batch of PC games they can keep forever, alongside a limited selection of cloud games via Amazon Luna.

Here are all the Prime Gaming free games this month, each of which is available without paying a cent beyond your existing Amazon Prime membership.

What are Prime free games?

Prime free games refers to a monthly rotating collection of video games that are available exclusively to Amazon Prime subscribers.

Every month, you’ll get a selection of games to claim for free, ranging from hidden indie gems to AAA blockbusters. Once the games are redeemed, you’re entitled to keep them forever — even after you cancel your subscription.

This offer is included in practically all of Amazon’s Prime membership plans, including its Student, Video-Only, Prime Access, and Free Trial packages. Only the Business plans do not include Prime free games.

How to claim Prime Gaming free games

To claim Prime Gaming free games, sign in to your Amazon Prime account, visit the Amazon Luna games page, and click “Claim game” on any available title.

Depending on the offer, the game will either be added directly to your Amazon Games Library, provided as a redemption code, or unlocked by linking your Epic Games, Ubisoft, or GOG.com account.

After claiming your Prime Gaming free games, they will be displayed as “Collected” in the Amazon Luna games hub. If you’re still unsure, you can refer to the steps below for more specific redemption instructions:

Amazon Games App
  • Go to the Amazon Luna website.
  • Sign in with your Amazon Prime account.
  • Select the “Claim Games” tab on the home page.
  • Click the “Claim game” button under any of the available titles.
  • The game will automatically be added to your Amazon Library.
  • Download and install the Amazon Games App on your PC to play it.
Redeem codes

  • Click on “Get game” and copy the redemption code.
  • Go to the store’s redemption page and paste the code.
  • The game will be added to your GOG or Legacy games library.

Pro Tip: If you receive a redemption code for a game you already own, you can actually give that code to a friend — they don’t need Prime to redeem it!

  • Select the “Claim Games” tab on the home page.
  • Click the “Claim game” button under any of the available titles.

Can you keep Prime Gaming free games forever?

Yes. Once you’ve claimed a free game through Prime Gaming, it’s yours to keep forever, provided you redeem it before the offer expires. The same applies to any items like skins, weapons, or in-game currency.

Best of all, you don’t need an active Amazon Prime subscription to play games you’ve claimed, meaning those free games are yours to keep even if you decide to cancel or suspend your membership.

The only exception to this is Amazon Luna cloud-delivered games, which rotate monthly (much like Netflix movies. If a game is not in rotation or if you cancel Prime, you will not be able to stream these for free.

Difference between Prime Gaming and Amazon Luna free games

The main difference is that Prime Gaming offers downloadable games you can claim and keep forever. On the other hand, Amazon Luna lets you stream a rotating library of games, which are only playable while they’re available and you’re subscribed.

Here’s a quick summary of the key differences between the service offerings:

Prime Gaming Amazon Luna
Downloadable PC games you claim and keep forever Cloud-streamed games you play instantly
Works offline after downloading Requires an internet connection
Games stay in your library permanently Games rotate in and out of the catalog
Feels like a free game store perk Feels like a Netflix-style gaming service

Is Prime Gaming worth it for free games?

Generally, yes. Prime Gaming is definitely worth it for the free games.

At roughly the same price as Amazon Prime itself (~€6.99/month in many regions or €69/year), the titles you get are usually €10–€30 each if sold individually. Plus, you can keep them forever once claimed, even if you never play them.

That alone often offsets the subscription cost over time, and that’s before you factor in the other major perks like Prime Video, unlimited one-day or same-day delivery benefits, and in-game loot/Twitch extras — making it a strong value even for casual gamers.

Conclusion

No matter what kind of gamer you are, Prime Gaming remains one of the best value perks, offering a steady flow of free games and bonus in-game content. When paired with the rotating cloud library on Amazon Luna, it practically guarantees you’ll never get bored.

Since the lineup refreshes every month, it’s always worth checking back regularly so you never miss out on newly added Prime Gaming free games.

FAQs

What free games do you get with Prime Gaming each month?

Most of the time, you’ll get a different selection of PC games, typically indie titles, cult classics, or slightly older AAA releases, plus bonus in-game loot for popular titles.

How do you claim free games on Prime Gaming step by step?

To claim free games, simply log into Prime Gaming with your Amazon account, browse the current free games, click “Claim,” and redeem them through the linked launcher (e.g., Amazon Games App, GOG, or Epic Games Store). Once claimed, they’re permanently yours.

Do Prime Gaming free games expire?

No. As long as you claim them while they’re available, they stay in your library forever, even if you cancel Amazon Prime later.

How often are new free games added to Prime Gaming?

Amazon announces a new batch of Prime Gaming free games every month, with occasional bonus drops tied to events and special occasions.

Is Prime Gaming worth it just for the free games?

Generally, yes. The games you get often cost far more individually than the monthly Prime subscription itself, making it a strong value even if you only play a few of them.
