SOOP has outlined a new League of Legends esports roadmap aimed at expanding global access to the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), including English-language broadcasts and creator-led co-streaming.

According to a post on the company’s social media and accompanying release, the live streaming platform has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Riot Games Korea covering League of Legends esports content distribution and platform initiatives from 2026 through 2030.

The agreement focuses on long-term cooperation across major competitions, with an emphasis on live-first viewing and fan engagement features.

As part of the roadmap, SOOP confirmed that international viewers will be able to watch the LCK in English on the platform, alongside creator co-streams that offer live commentary, reactions and chat-driven interaction. The English broadcast will be available via the LCK_EN channel on SOOP starting January 14th.

Other major League of Legends competitions — including the League of Legends European Championship (LEC), League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) and Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends (CBLOL) — may also be available on SOOP, though the company said coverage will vary by season and territory depending on licensing agreements.

Focus on Live Viewing and Platform Features

SOOP said its viewing experience has been optimised across PC, mobile and Smart TV, with a focus on low-latency, live-first streaming for both official broadcasts and creator co-streams. The platform also highlighted a feature called ‘Time Machine,’ which allows viewers to rewind to earlier moments during a live broadcast and continue watching without losing the live feed.

The announcement follows the unification of SOOP’s global and Korean services into a single platform, a move the company said was intended to improve performance and consistency for viewers worldwide.

Always-on League of Legends Content

Beyond official match days, SOOP said it is investing in year-round League of Legends programming. This includes pro player personal streams, platform-exclusive formats and original shows designed to help fans follow teams and storylines outside of the competitive calendar.

SOOP also operates its own League of Legends tournament programming through the SLL series and has previously aired exclusive content, including a post-championship talk show following T1’s Worlds 2025 victory.

The platform currently has streaming partnerships with seven of the 10 LCK teams: DN SOOPers, T1, Gen.G Esports, kt Rolster, DRX, BNK FEARX and Dplus Kia. By hosting official matches alongside team and player content, SOOP said it aims to keep fans within a single ecosystem.

SOOP added that former League of Legends professional Han ‘Peanut’ Wang-ho is actively streaming on the platform and plans to take part in LCK co-streaming, further supporting its creator-led viewing approach.
