League of Legends’ ranked was briefly disabled in the OCE region following an issue that caused “erroneous placements” for the players at the start of the new season. The developer confirmed the shutdown was temporary and limited to OCE while a fix was deployed.
The League update was shared by Matt Leung-Harrison, known in the community as Riot Phroxzon, who outlined several season start changes on X. According to him, ranked was taken offline for approximately an hour after the team identified incorrect placements affecting some players, and they assured players that anyone adversely impacted by the issue would be compensated. Specific details on the form of compensation have not yet been announced.
