VCT EMEA Stage 1 2025: schedule, format, and teams
VCT EMEA Stage 1 2025 will bring back all 12 EMEA International League teams to battle for spots at Masters Toronto. Moreover, by the end of Stage 1, the third and fourth teams qualifying for Champions Paris from the region might also be finalized.
The event will run from March 26th to May 11th at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, featuring a live audience, with a short break taking place before the playoffs.
VCT EMEA Stage 1 2025 Groups and Format
Just like in the Americas and Pacific leagues, teams will be divided into two equal groups in EMEA Stage 1—Alpha and Omega.
- Group Alpha: Team Vitality, Apeks, Natus Vincere, GIANTX, Fnatic, and Team Heretics
- Group Omega: Team Liquid, KOI, Karmine Corp, Gentle Mates, BBL Esports, and FUT Esports
The Group Stage will follow a round-robin format, leading into a double-elimination playoffs. The first seed will earn a bye to the second round of the Playoffs, while the fourth seed will begin in the lower bracket.
The second and third seed will start their journey from the upper bracket’s first round. All matches will be best-of-three, except for the Lower Final and Grand Final, which will be best-of-five.
The top three teams from Stage 1 will qualify for Masters Toronto.
Schedule and Tickets for VCT EMEA Stage 1 2025
The Group Stage of VCT EMEA Stage 1 is scheduled to take place from March 26th to April 25th, with opening matchups already revealed. The Playoffs will begin on May 8th, culminating with the Grand Final on May 11th.
Tickets for the event are up for grabs; however, Riot will not host a crowd on Wednesdays during the Regular Season. Instead, the fans will be able to enjoy the matches from the comfort of their homes on VCT EMEA’s Twitch and YouTube channels.
