EXCLUSIVE: ESL FACEIT Group acquires analytics platform Mobalytics

ESL FACEIT Group has announced it has acquired North American analytics platform Mobalytics.
The esports company and tournament organiser states the acquisition is part of its plan to ‘expand the digital portfolio’ and ‘deepen relationships’ with game developers and esports organisations.
According to a release, the platform will ‘operate as a standalone business,’ with ESL FACEIT Group continuing to search for new opportunities where the platform can be integrated into its existing product portfolio.
Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Founded in 2016, the platform provides visual tools and data aimed at improving player performance. Titles that support Mobalytics include League of Legends, Marvel Rivals, and Destiny 2.
In recent years, the platform has cemented itself as a market leader, providing players across several games insight on their performance and tips on how to enhance gameplay. In 2022, it partnered with Overwolf to revamp its app.
Mobalytics has collaborated with several esports organisations and game developers which ESL FACEIT Group has yet to work with. Since 2016, the likes of Bungie, T1, Team Liquid, and more have partnered with the platform.
Mobalytics is most-known for its League of Legends tools. The Gamer Performance Index (GPI) tracks in-game statistics and advises players on ways to ‘level up gameplay.’
The 2025 League of Legends season is in full swing. Its inaugural First Stand event has shown signs of promising viewership and is the first international tournament to use the Fearless Draft system.
It’s reported that Fearless Draft will feature for the remainder of the season in a bid to inject a breath of fresh air into the competitive meta.
ESL FACEIT Group is no stranger to acquisitions. In 2023, it acquired esports technology and infrastructure company Vindex with the aim of consolidating its position as a global leader within the esports industry.
