A weapon’s affinity determines the stats that its damage scales with (for example, Strength or Dexterity), and some of them also add a secondary damage type, such as fire or holy damage.
So to unlock the full potential of your arsenal of weaponry, it’s very important to track down the location of every Whetblade in Elden Ring so that you have access to all the weapon affinities. There are six Whetblades in total, all scattered about The Lands Between. Two are in Limgrave, one in Liurnia, one in Caelid, one below Caelid, and the final is resting in the Royal Capital of Leyndell.
