Caedrel discusses Los Ratones tier-one ambitions in new video

Popular League of Legends streamer Marc Robert ‘Caedrel’ Lamont has revealed his ambitions to enter the tier-one scene with Los Ratones.

In a YouTube video from March 30th, Caedrel discussed his goals for Los Ratones following the team’s triumphs in the NLC Winter split and EMEA Masters.

While he aims for tier-one participation in the future, Caedrel admits that it might not be possible next year. Due to the regional tier-one leagues’ franchise model, Riot Games has strict rules for team slot allocation. For example, Los Ratones could only join Europe’s LEC by directly purchasing a slot or partnering with another esports organisation.

Alternatively, the streamer highlighted that the team could enter the NACL to compete for the Guest Slot in North America’s LTA league. Another alternative outside of Riot Games’ tier-one ecosystem that Caedrel theorised would be a ‘Los Ratones World Tour’. This is where the team travels to each League of Legends region to compete against tier-one rosters.

Caedrel also shed light on his motivation behind the new goals for Los Ratones: “I wanna make sure we’re always trying to push the barrier and find out how far we can reach.”

However, the streamer emphasised that he does not intend to move away from the original spirit of Los Ratones. This includes creating more update videos after every split.

Caedrel founded the team in November last year to create unique content while competing. Los Ratones joined the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) at the beginning of 2025 and has already won its Winter split.

Following its victory at EMEA Masters Winter 2025, the squad looks to continue competing in the NLC for the rest of the year. This includes the Spring and Summer splits and their respective EMEA Masters editions.

Beyond its competitive achievements, Los Ratones has built a significant fanbase, increasing the viewership of tier-two circuits through Caedrel’s co-streams. According to esports data platform Esports Charts, 484,533 fans tuned into the EMEA Masters Grand Final.

Moreover, Los Ratones has become known for livestreaming nearly all of its practice scrims. Caedrel shared that bootcamps and showmatches, as well as public scrims against international teams, could happen again this year. In addition, the organisation is working on merchandise and sponsorship opportunities from which players will receive cuts.
