PlayStation State of Play Announced for Tomorrow, February 12
Sony has announced a PlayStation State of Play stream will take place tomorrow, February 12, at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern / 10pm UK.
The broadcast will be more than 40 minutes long and delivered in both English and Japanese languages through the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels.
While no details have yet to be given on what games to expect, there are several PlayStation big-hitters that we’d love to know more about, with the PlayStation Blog promising that “the show celebrates a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world”. An extended look at Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Yotei would certainly be at the top of most people’s wishlists, as well as a release date for Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
A fair prediction would also be seeing an official reveal of the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date trailer, after it leaked last week on the PlayStation Store.
As for what else we can expect, it may well be a little early to hope for more from Insomniac’s Wolverine or Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, but there are some more realistic expectations to keep your fingers crossed for.
Phantom: Blade Zero is an exclusive action role playing game from Chinese studio S-Game full of exciting-looking sword combat. We’d love to know when we’re getting our hands on that one. And then there’s Bungie’s Marathon and Haven’s Fairgames — both of which are intriguing multiplayer shooter propositions that will have a lot of attention coming their way following Sony’s handling of the Concord situation.
Oh, and it just so happens to be the 10th anniversary of Bloodborne in March. They couldn’t, could they?
We’re hopeful of one or two brand-new surprises and game reveals to get excited about as well. With rumours continuing to swirl, could this be the day Halo finally makes its way over to PlayStation consoles?
