Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time Finally Locks in May 2025 Release Date

The next Fantasy Life game has set a course for a full launch. After a few delays, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is due to arrive on May 21, 2025.

First announced two years ago in the February 2023 Nintendo Direct, Fantasy Life i was delayed twice: once from its 2023 window into 2024, and another delay in August 2024. Though page listings had Fantasy Life i locked in for April, Level 5 has now officially locked set it for May 2025.

Level 5 said the new release date was set to “ensure a high quality product for fans.”

Today’s news also confirms a few new platforms for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. Level 5’s slow-life RPG is also coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The new Fantasy Life game takes its particular brand of cozy living adventures to a deserted island in Reveria. Players can swap around between 14 different jobs (Lives) and go on a time-warping journey across a millennium, restoring the island along the way.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time will have cross-play support, as well as cross-save, so you can hop between different consoles and team up with anyone else who has the game. Pre-orders net a New Adventurer’s Pack as a bonus, with some consumables and a Flutter Charm that boosts EXP. Digital deluxe pre-orders net some additional exclusives, as well as early access on May 18, 2025.

The new Fantasy Life was among several Level-5 games that were announced, then delayed into later years. Megaton Musashi: Wired arrived in April 2024, Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is planned for June 2025, and Decapolice currently lists a 2026 release date on its website. It’s good to see these all finally rolling out, especially for Fantasy Life fans who have been eagerly awaiting a new entry for some time.

Level-5 is of course also working on Professor Layton and the New World of Steam for Nintendo Switch and perhaps even Nintendo Switch 2.
