All 168 League of Legends champions and their release dates, listed

Riot Games originally intended to release League of Legends with just 20 unique champions but eventually doubled that number leading up to launch day on Oct. 27, 2009. Now, 15 years later, there are 168.

Aurora is the newest member of the League family, arriving in mid-2024. Before her, playful little dragon Smolder (who brought his mom to the Rift too) went live in Patch 14.3 and has been scorching the bot lane since.
