PUBG: Battlegrounds has long enjoyed a diverse global playerbase, but communicating effectively with all segments of its audience has proven a challenge—a long-standing issue PUBG‘s director now wants to resolve as quickly as possible.
Taehyun Kim, the production director of PUBG, recently acknowledged this in an interview with IGN, emphasizing the importance of reaching out more effectively to Western players. “I’m Korean, and I’m more comfortable speaking in Korean, so I have been communicating with Korean users using livestreaming,” Kim explained. Now, however, he’s recognized the need to expand his communication efforts beyond his comfort zone to keep PUBG thriving everywhere.
