As previously confirmed, all of the above companions will also serve as romance options for the player.

Additionally, Gareth David-Lloyd will be reprising his role as the voice of Solas, a companion in Dragon Age: Inquisition who will play a key role in The Veilguard, while Brian Bloom will be returning as franchise mainstay Varric. BioWare also teased in its announcement that it has several other characters to introduce, including some familiar faces, but it’s waiting to reveal those “because of, you know – story spoilers.”

BioWare makes its announcement before much of its creative and voice talent heads to San Diego Comic-Con this week. The developer has various plans for the annual convention, including a panel on Friday and dev and voice actor signings.
