Bungie lays off 17 percent of workforce, citing ‘broader economic realities’

Destiny 2 and Marathon maker Bungie has laid off 17 percent of its workforce, or 220 employees, effective immediately.

Bungie CEO Pete Parsons released a statement today on the removal of hundreds of developers, which comes around nine months after over 100 staff members were let go at the end of October 2023 after the studio missed internal financial goals.
