OverActive Media is a Canadian esports company most known for being the owner of several high-profile organisations around the world, including MAD Lions, Toronto Ultra, KOI, and Movistar Riders. The company has offices in several locations in Europe, as well as in Toronto, Canada.
Neil Duffy takes over as the CCO for OverActive following a tenure as Chief Revenue Officer at eFuse, a company known for operating College COD and the College Carball Association, as well as owning esports media outlet esports.gg. The company unfortunately laid off around 30% of its workforce in late 2023 but continues to operate.
In a LinkedIn post, Duffy noted that he still aims to remain a Strategic Advisor to the CEO and Board at eFuse, which will see him continue to help steer the company while working at OverActive Media.
Adam Adamou, CEO of OverActive Media, commented on the appointment: “Neil joining us as CCO for the Americas marks a crucial step in our strategy to broaden our impact in the esports space. His remarkable track record and innovative approach to business development and partnerships match perfectly with our plans for the future.
“Neil will be instrumental in working with our current partners and teams, as well as with our seasoned leadership in EMEA, to guide OverActive into new product categories and markets across Canada and the Americas.”
