Oddin.gg and PGL announce data rights partnership for Major Copenhagen 2024

The partnership will see Oddin.gg support PGL’s eight Dota 2 events in addition to at least 11 Counter-Strike 2 tournaments between 2024 and 2026. The provider and tournament organiser first partnered in November 2023 for the 2024 Copenhagen Major where Oddin.gg provided odds, risk management tools and widgets during the tournament.

Oddin.gg’s deal with PGL comes after the tournament organiser announced plans to host more than ten Counter-Strike 2 events over the next two years. Alongside Counter-Strike, PGL has also expanded its Dota 2 offering with the eight $1m (~£801,610) prize pool tournaments planned in the next three years.

Oddin.gg also provide its services to a number of other esports industry stakeholders. In April 2024, it partnered with Indian esports company Skyesports to distribute data across Oddin.gg’s range of betting products.

Data remains an integral part of PGL’s operations. In March 2024, it renewed its existing partnership with data analytics company Shikenso Analytics, which will act as its exclusive data partner for the remainder of the year.

Marek Suchar, Co-founder and Managing Director of Partnerships at Oddin.gg, spoke on the deal: “Our commitment is to affiliate with the premier entities in esports, and PGL stands out as a peak of excellence within the tournament circuit.

“This partnership is a strategic step towards enhancing the global esports experience, and we eagerly anticipate the groundbreaking advancements PGL will introduce for Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 in the years ahead.”
