PUBG reveals in-game esports item schedule for 2024 season

PUBG Esports has revealed a schedule for its in-game esports items that will be distributed throughout the 2024 season.

Starting in April 2024, the 2024 PUBG Esports Items schedule includes six different drops such as skins for partner teams and items commemorating Danawa e-sports‘ victory at the 2023 PUBG Global Championship.

The PUBG Esports Team Edition Skins will be split into three separate drops, the first of which will occur in April. The item drop will see PUBG release skins for three of its Global Partner Teams.

It has not been announced which teams have been initially selected however PUBG will release a further four skins in June, with the final three teams getting skins in October.

The 10 organisations that are Global Partner Teams for 2024 are:

As a Global Partner team for PUBG, the 10 organisations receive a percentage of the sale of in-game items in addition to a guaranteed slot to compete in the PUBG Global Series, the highest tier of PUBG esports.

In addition to the team skins, PUBG will also release skins themed around the PUBG Nations and 2024 PUBG Global Championship.

The PUBG Global Series tournament commences in May and features four LAN tournaments. The series’ combined prize pool amounts to $1.2m (~£949,284). Teams will also compete for PGS Points which determines seeding for future events and the teams competing in the season-ending Global Championship. The dates and location for the event have yet to be announced.

The 2023 edition of the tournament took place in Bangkok, Thailand, and generated peak viewing figures of 263,656 according to esports data platform Esports Charts. South Korean organisation Danawa e-sports secured victory and will receive an exclusive in-game item drop in September as part of the initiative.
