Founded in 1920, New Era is an American apparel and headwear brand most known for its line of licensed caps. New Era is the official headwear supplier for the MLB, NBA, and NFL, and produces officially licensed apparel and caps for hundreds of sports, entertainment, music and fashion brands.
In the esports industry, the company has made small moves, notably by partnering with Brazilian esports organisation FURIA to create a custom-branded cap, and with G2 Esports back in 2021 for an official beanie.
The collaboration with Red Bull Sim Racing will see a larger range of products launched as a part of a multi-year partnership. These include varsity-inspired clothing items for drivers to wear outside of competition, as well as performance wear and other items.
Joe Soltysik, Esports Lead at Oracle Red Bull Racing, commented: “Partnering with such an iconic brand is an incredibly exciting moment for us. We have seen excellent growth in our sim racing fan base and we are delighted to be able to offer team merchandise that captures the essence of our team in such a stylish way. We are very excited about what this partnership will bring.”
The Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing team has a large roster of both endemic partners and those that support the main racing team, including the likes of AGON by AOC, Fanatec, Bybit, Hard Rock and now New Era.
The division competes in F1 and iRacing sim racing video games.
