How to make the uncommon Forest Axe
First things first, to be able to harvest Knotroot Rods, you will need an uncommon Forest Axe. A common Forest Axe will only give you more wood. Create the uncommon Forest Axe by using an uncommon Crafting Bench, three Bones, and three Wooden Rods.
Once equipped with the right type of Axe, head into one of the caves found in LEGO Fortnite. This is where you will find Knotroot Rods.

All around caves, you will find Knotroot. As the name suggests, it is literally roots that look like they are tied together in knots. Harvest those with the uncommon Forest Axe to get Knotroot Rods. There are also chests scattered throughout caves that may have the item too.
