Demacia Cup 2023: Format, Schedule, and more

Organized by Tencent, the 2023 Demacia Cup is a tournament played during the off-season featuring 24 teams from the Chinese region.

Demacia Cup 2023 – Format

The tournament comprises a total of 24 teams: the 17 squads from the LPL, 2 independent LDL teams (LPL’s second division), and 5 amateur teams.

The event is divided into two different stages and lasts for a total of 12 days. The 4 teams that played at the latest Worlds 2023 have gotten a direct pass to the playoffs stage while the other 20 teams will have to qualify through the Group Stage.

Group Stage

The twenty teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each. Each group will play a Swiss Stage and the winner of each group will qualify for the playoffs. All matches during the Swiss stage will be Bo1s.

The four teams will join the other four in a single elimination bracket, with all matches being Bo5s. The winners will lift the Demacia Cup.
