Vanillaware’s latest game has been revealed, and it’s a tactics RPG. Titled Unicorn Overlord, it’s a gorgeous new turn-based tactics game featuring 60 recruitable characters.
Unicorn Overlord is being developed by the studio behind Odin’s Sphere, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, and other cult favorites. Co-founded by George Kamitani, Vanillaware’s games are known for their memorable artwork, and Unicorn Overlord looks to be no different.
Here’s the official summary:
Fight against fate and embark on a royal adventure to regain your reign in the timeless RPG Unicorn Overlord. From the creators of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Unicorn Overlord combines overworld exploration and an innovative battle system in the iconic Vanillaware style. Traverse the vibrant world, cultivate a grand army with over 60 distinct characters and grow your renown throughout the five nations in this epic fantasy experience. Liberate your kingdom and reclaim your destiny!
Presumably there will be lots of cooking, a Vanillaware staple.
