The themed game mode for the season is the Zombie’s Edge which will be live from Sept. 5 to Nov. 6 across Erangel, Livik, and Miramar.

Being a themed game mode, it will preserve the core Battle Royale experience for players while making some new additions to it. This time, a new area called Aerolith Lab will be appearing. The lab is an infected area crawling with dangerous creatures like Mutants, Berserkers, and Rippers.

The main highlight of the Aerolith Lab is the Rage Berserker. This will spawn after the end of the countdown, which will appear in the lab after the match begins. The power of this beast depends on the amount of mutants the lab absorbs. Thus, it’s important to make sure you kill the mutants before the lab absorbs them to feed the Rage Berserker.

You might be wondering why even face a beast like the Rage Berserker. This is because after you defeat it, you will get some amazing supplies.

The mode also features some themed items. These are as follows:

Mutation Gauntlets: These can be found by defeating zombies in the Aerolith Lab. When equipped, you will be able to perform powerful zombie attacks.
Mutation Blade: This can also be found by defeating zombies. You will be able to perform a wide range of slashing melee attacks with these.
Maglev Hoverboard: These can be found in the Aerolith Lab. These can be used to quickly travel around the map. Additionally, they can be used on land or water.
Exclusive Emote Card: This will be found in the lab to perform a unique emote.

KFC is collaborating with PUBG Mobile

PUBG Mobile is partnering up with the legendary KFC in the Version 2.8 Update. This mode will be available from Oct. 2 to Nov. 6 on Erangel, Livik, Miramar, and Nusa.

As a part of this, KFC restaurants will spawn on the maps as standalone buildings. These will contain supplies, some KFC recovery items, and the KFC self-ordering kiosk.

The recovery items include the following:

KFC Drink: It takes four seconds to consume and recovers 60 health.
Nuggets: It also takes four seconds to use and recover 75 health.
KFC Chicken Bucket: It takes six seconds to use and fully recovers health.
KFC Chicken Dinner: This item will be found rarely as it fully recovers health and energy. It also takes six seconds to consume.

The KFC self-ordering kiosk, on the other hand, will sell KFC recovery items. Tokens are the currency required to use the kiosk.
