Persona 3 Reload Release Date Announced by Sega

Sega has revealed Persona 3 Reload’s release date, confirming that its remake of the classic PlayStation 2 RPG will be out February 2, 2024.

First announced during Summer Game Fest, Persona 3 Reload revamps the original’s graphics while making it available on modern platforms. It also adds new songs to the soundtrack, quality-of-life improvements like the ability to control your party, and other improvements. It does not, however, include the storyline featuring the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable, to the chagrin of some fans.

Having had an opportunity to go hands-on with Persona 3 Reload, however, we appreciated its myriad of other improvements on top of its sheer availability. While Persona 3 recently made its way to modern consoles, it was the limited handheld version that lacked elements like a fully-explorable map. In that respect Persona 3 Reload is a sizable step forward for the series.

Persona 3 was first released in North America in 2007. Featuring a group of high schoolers battling supernatural elements, dating sim elements, and unique calendar-based progression, it quickly set itself apart from other RPGs like. It gained a small but dedicated cult following that earned it additional English releases, and it has proven influential with games like Honkai Star Rail.

Persona 3 Reload is slated to release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. It will join Persona 4 and Persona 5, both of which are available across a wide range of platforms.
