Like a Dragon Gaiden Includes a Special Trial Version of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name includes a special trial version of 2024’s Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, developer RGG has revealed.

A new gameplay overview trailer was shown today, detailing the story and various game mechanics. At the end of the trailer, Gaiden’s protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, is seen meeting up with Infinite Wealth protagonist Ichiban Kasuga.

In a following developer update, director Masayoshi Yokoyama said: “As you may have been surprised to see, we’re including a special trial version of next year’s Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth as bonus content with purchase of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.”

Yokoyama said the special trial version includes scenes that aren’t in the main game, and that players can unlock it after completing Gaiden’s main story.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name follows Kiryu as he goes into hiding after the events of 2018’s Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, and between the events of 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon and the upcoming Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name launches on November 9 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is scheduled to be released sometime in 2024.
