Free Fire is one of the most popular mobile battle royale games worldwide which has amassed a huge player base after its initial release in late 2017. If you have been playing the game for a while now, you might be wondering what it is like to match against enemies on a different server. Here’s the guide on how to switch to a different server in Free Fire.
Unfortunately, Garena doesn’t allow players to change servers in Free Fire. When you make an account in the game for the first time, the developer will automatically select the nearest server for you. If you are still very persistent about playing on a different server, though, there is a way you can do that.
How to play on a different server in Free Fire?
Since Garena automatically selects a server for you when you first play Free Fire, you will have to make a new account with a VPN to change servers.
Before doing this, you must log out of your original Free Fire account. This can be done by going to the storage settings of the game and clearing the data. Make sure that you have linked your account to a social media platform to ensure you don’t lose any data. You can also uninstall and reinstall the game through the Google Play Store or App Store alternatively.
Once this is done, follow these steps:
Open a VPN on your Android or iOS device. Select the location of the server location you want to access and switch it on.
Open Free Fire. You can now login into the game normally – either create a new account with social media or use a guest account for now. You will need to link the Guest Account to social media later, though, if you want to access the game again.
Once this is done, you can play Free Fire normally on a different server.
While Garena doesn’t have any public information restricting the use of VPNs to create accounts in different servers, we recommend playing on the Free Fire server you have been originally assigned to escape any repercussions.
