FighterZ Rollback Update Still in the Works

FighterZ is one of the longer-running Arc games that’s still getting a lot of events and attention right now. However, one update that has been scheduled for a while has been hotly anticipated. The FighterZ rollback update has long been promised, but when is it actually showing up? Arc has given a full rundown of when we can expect the next update with balance changes and what’s going on with the long-awaited update to netcode.

Bandai Namco has given a full statement over the last few days. It’s detailing when we can expect a new balance patch to come to the game to change each of the FighterZ characters. But also how things are looking for that netcode change. This is what we’ve learned about the FighterZ rollback update recently.

FighterZ Rollback Update and Balance Changes Gets ETA

The official Bandai Namco Twitter account has this week started to talk about the next batch of updates coming to the game. Arc System Works’ future updates will start arriving this month, but the most anticipated update to the game is actually going to take a bit longer.

The first part of the update detailed what we’re expecting from the next balance change. There will be another batch of FighterZ patch notes arriving at the end of August. This will be an add-on to one of the other more recent batches as we’re getting very close to hitting the end of FighterZ as a whole.

The bigger part of the update for a lot of players is the rollback netcode update. This has been delayed. The update says that the rollback change is still being worked on, but it’s going to take a while longer. The beta test for the update is being delayed too.

It’s disappointing to see the FighterZ rollback update still lingering somewhere far in the distance. However, we’ve got some exciting news for the game. The DBFZ World Tour 2023/24 now has an official start date! FighterZ at EVO 2023 is going to be a Power+ event, starting the tour off with a huge tournament.
