The Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour is back for 2023, coming to the biggest tournaments but also to more local events. The prime of these will be the DBFZ Tenkaichi Tournaments. These are lower-level events that make up an important part of the FighterZ World Tour, giving players the opportunity to get involved with the tournament outside of the biggest majors.
We’ve just seen the very first highest-level tournament wrap up for 23/24, with the FIghterZ EVO 2023 competition. However, they’ll plenty more chances to gain points on the leaderboard, especially for those looking to attend the DBFZ Tenkaichi tournaments. This is how the lower-level tournaments work for the tour and what we’ve learnt.

DBFZ Tenkaichi Tournaments Returning in 2023
Organizers behind the Arc World Tour have stepped in to explain another tier on the World Tour, DBFZ Tenkaichi tournaments. These will be lower-level events but ones that put the focus on supporting the grassroots level of fighting games esports. Players can nominate local tournaments put on by third-party organizers. If they meet the requirements, they’ll become a part of the FighterZ World Tour. This can be a great way of adding a more diverse roster of events all over the world.
Organizers and players can start to nominate tournaments now. The point distribution is still weighted towards the majors. However, the DBFZ Tenkaichi tournaments still provide a viable route to placing in the World Tour. If competitors clock up enough points at this level and make it to a major or two, they might be able to climb all the way up to the finals. After EVO, the next Major for the World Tour is VSFighting XI, taking place on August 18-20. Once that concludes and we start to see more Tenkaichi events, we’ll get a better idea of which players are looking likely to make it to the finals.
