The Capcom Pro Tour is in full swing for 2023/24. With Street Fighter 6 at EVO concluded, we’ve already gotten some look at who well see at the final. With a huge prize pool on offer here, there’s loads more eyes on the Capcom Cup this year. What about the other qualifiers though? In terms of LANs, it took a while to learn how we’ll see get the rest of the players qualified. This week though we’ve learnt about two more Capcom Cup qualifiers.
The next two qualifiers are going to be tournaments taking place in two different regions. We’ve seen our qualifiers for Asia and Europe booked in with this reveal. This is what we’ve learnt about the new Capcom Cup qualifiers that are coming in the next few months.
Two More Capcom Cup Qualifiers Announced
With EVO concluded and AngryBird securing his spot at the Capcom Cup. We’ve learnt about what the next two qualifiers for the Capcom Cup X will be too. The tournament is being run with limited offline qualifiers. Players only have a few shots at gaining their slot at the event, but there’s new ones for different regions announced now.
The first of these two qualifiers will be Gamescon Asia. This is going to be a Singapore tournament that’s scheduled to take place over 20th to 22nd of October. That’s going to be a major qualifier for Asia. The next, will be the Paris Games Week. This is a tournament in Europe that’s on through 3-5th of November.
Each of these Capcom Cup Qualifiers broaden the field for the tournament out. Compared to EVO, there is a cap on competitors for both of these though. Only 1024 players will be able to enter so there’s limited sign ups.
These two new qualifiers broaden the tournament out to even more regions. On top of these event there’s also the CPT online events and Last Chance Qualifiers. Both of these give even more ways for players to get into the Capcom Cup in early 2024.
