Terminator: Resistance – Complete Edition launches on Xbox Series X and S on October 27, publisher Reef Entertainment has announced.
This bundle includes the enhanced version of Terminator: Resistance that came out on PlayStation 5 in 2021, the Annihilation Line DLC expansion starring Kyle Reese, and Infiltrator Mode, where players can control the T-800 series Infiltrator unit. The Complete Edition marks the debut of Annihilation Line and Infiltrator Mode on Xbox.
On September 27, a month before the release of the Complete Edition, a free digital upgrade will be released on Xbox Series X and S for those who own Terminator: Resistance on Xbox One. This upgrade includes the enhanced version of Terminator: Resistance and Infiltrator Mode, both “optimised to take advantage of the power of the Xbox Series X and S hardware”. Expect improved framerates, higher graphical fidelity, and faster load times.
If you already own Terminator: Resistance on Xbox One or Xbox Series X and S, you can buy the Complete Edition for a discounted price of £11.99 / €14.49 / $14.49 via the Microsoft Store from October 27.
It’s worth noting neither the free digital upgrade nor the discount is not available to those who own Terminator: Resistance physically and own an Xbox Series S disc-free console.
In Terminator: Resistance you play Resistance soldier Jacob Rivers and experience the events leading up to the decisive, final battle for the fate of mankind in the war against the machines. IGN gave Terminator: Resistance a 4/10 in its review from 2019, saying its “authentic looks fail to disguise its uninspired design and forgettable action”.
