Street Fighter 6 has just gotten its first new character. Rashid has been added in and has finally gone live with a recent Street Fighter 6 update. Rashid was pretty strong when he first got added into Street Fighter V, but in 6 he’s definitely one of the most powerful characters we’ve seen in the game so far. Especially if you’re making use of a Rashid Infinite Tornado Bug.
Rashid’s kit in SF 6 has some pretty strong moves, but there are a few parts of it which are pretty much game-breaking. Within 24 hours of release, players have managed to find a meta-breaking way to use the character.
Rashid Infinite Tornado Bug Breaks SF 6 Meta
The Street Fighter 6 meta has been upended by Rashid. This is pretty normal for a new character, it’s a big part of why Rashid being playable at EVO 2023 SF 6 was a bit controversial. However, this Rashid Infinite Tornado exploit has definitely been unexpected.
Rashid has a throw loop, which is a big enough problem. Once players jumped into the lab for Rashid though they found even bigger problems though. Rashid’s Infinite Tornado can get exploited in-game for a move that gets up to a crazy level of damage.
Yasaar can be used right before using an Arabian Cyclone. This speeds up the cyclone and gives it a greater movement forward. Then, players can cancel into wing-stroke and shoot forward to catch up with the attack. Moving forward in the right frames will lock the opposing player into the Ysaar hitbox and gradually eat away at their Drive Gaugue. With a decent follow-up, it’s an insane chain of moves for this early part of the game. The Super Infinite Tornado bug goes way further than just being a great combo.
These broken moves are live in the game right now. Capcom is working on a fix before the next major tournament though. While the Street Fighter 6 update schedule doesn’t allow for too many big changes, this is considered a bug and Capcom is working on fixing his tool set. Hopefully, the change can be rolled out before we get to EVO 2023.
