The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) North America Challenger Tournament (NACT) is back for its Fall Season of 2023. Players from across North America can register in the tournament for the title of champions, a share of the $25,600 prize pool, and even a chance to represent the region at the M5 World Championship.
The NACT is the highest level of competitive MLBB in the NA region. The spring season began in March and ended with a Grand Final at the HyperX Arena, Las Vegas on May 14. BTK emerged as the champions and pocketed $15,000 of the $23,500 prize pool. The team also earned qualification spots at the MLBB MSC 2023 and the IESF World Championship.
Here’s everything you need to know about the MLBB NACT Fall 2023.
MLBB NACT Fall 2023: Eight teams to compete in the Regular Season
The fall season also features an open-for-all format and registrations are currently live on Start GG. The teams who register will have to compete in the Qualifier on July 29 and 30 with the top six advancing to the Regular Season.
The top two teams from the Spring Season have received a direct invite to this stage. These are BTK and Outplay. The Regular Season has been split into three phases.
Phase One: It will take place on Aug. 5 and 6 with the teams engaged in a single-elimination bracket.
Phase Two: It will happen from Aug. 12 to 20 with the eight teams competing in a double-elimination bracket.
Phase Three: Lastly, the eight teams will meet in Phase Three to again play in a double-elimination bracket from Sept. 9 to 17.
The format is completely different from past seasons. Each phase will award points based on the teams’ overall standings. The top teams will then advance to the Playoffs to battle it out for the title of champions. It will happen on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 with Los Angeles set to be the venue for the finale, per Liquipedia. The winner will be the NA representative at the M5 World Championship.
IESF World Championship MLBB to feature an NA representative
Phases two and three of the MLBB NACT feature a long gap in the Regular Season. This is because the BTK, the winner of the spring season, is set to represent the U.S. at the IESF World Championship for MLBB.
This will happen from Aug. 25 to Sept. 3 in Romania. Sixteen countries will be competing for a share of the $100,000 prize pool.
MLBB has been growing steadily in North America ever since MOONTON has been investing in the region since mid-2022. The Spring Season of the NACT recorded decent viewership numbers as well. Throughout the season, the tournament had an average viewership of 4,540, according to Esports Charts. However, the Playoffs really picked up the viewership with the matches peaking around 10,000 viewers.
The LAN Finale, however, attracted a significantly higher number of viewers. As many as 85,000 people tuned in to watch BTK take on Outplay live for the title of NA champions and a slot at the MLBB MSC 2023.
