BGIS 2023 Open Registration – Eligibility, Schedule, and more

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) is back in 2023 after more than a year. The tournament series was launched back in 2021 when BGMI was first released in India as the localized version of PUBG Mobile. Now, the tournament has launched its second edition, with an open-for-all format and a prize pool of Rs. 2,000,000 on the line.

Registrations are currently open on the official website until Aug. 3. Players have to team up to register for the tournament and play across different stages with a chance to advance to the Grand Final, which Krafton has teased will be a LAN event.

What is the eligibility?

The BGIS 2023 has opened its registrations on the official website. Players can form teams of up to six players (two optional substitutes) to compete in the event. The eligibility to compete in the BGIS is as follows:

Age: At Least 16 years old. Players under 18 years old need to have guardian permission to register.
Rank: Platinum
At least Level 25

Each team must have four players. You can add two optional substitutes as well.

How to register for the BGIS 2023?

Head over to the official BGMI esports website.
Click on the Go To Dashboard button.
In the new menu that appears, you will need to enter your email ID. Once this is done click on Verify.
You will receive a one-time password on your email ID which you must enter to verify your email address.
You will now be redirected to the registration page where you need to correctly enter all your information. Once this is done, click on register.

Now, you have entered the BGIS. If you are the team captain, in the new menu, you will be able to create a team and select a name. Once this is done, you need to share the team code with your teammates so that they can join the squad.

BGIS 2023 Schedule

The complete schedule for the BGIS 2023 is as follows:

Registrations: July 24 to Aug. 3
In-game qualifies: Aug. 10 to 16
Online Qualifiers: Aug. 31 to Sept. 17
Quarterfinals and Losers Bracket: Sept. 21 to Oct. 1
Semifinals: Oct. 4 to 7
Grand Finals: Oct. 12 to 14

The BGIS Grand Finals could be a LAN event. In the official teaser for the event, Krafton showed clips of Mumbai and a live audience – hinting towards the same for the BGIS 2023. The developer hasn’t officially announced it yet, though.
