Apex Legends is in the midst of its 17th season. It has been a more controversial time for the game. After a quieter season fixing older Legends, this one changed a lot and the reaction hasn’t been great. This isn’t the lowest that Apex Twitch viewership has ever sunk, but it’s a record low for quite a few years now. It marks a real decline from the level of popularity that the game had managed to build back up.

Apex Legends Twitch Viewership Hits Lowest Point Since 2020
Apex Legends first launched in 2019. It immediately hit huge numbers in terms of daily traffic and viewership. This initial launch period is still where the game’s online popularity peaked. From there it quickly descended before settling at a real low over 2020. After that though, things reversed. Apex Legends turned a corner and started to build back up. This even led to the game hitting new peaks for players and getting close in Twitch viewership over 2022.
2023 has been a more difficult time for the game though. Developers have made promises about a long run for the title but bugs stick around too long, Legends are un-balanced, and the new Ranked mode seems to have killed a lot of the enthusiasm for the game as a whole. This is showing in the player count and in Apex Legends Twitch viewership.
Apex Legends Twitch Viewership has this week hit a low not seen since 2020. In terms of the game’s relative popularity, this was close to the lowest possible point for the title. Part of this is down to dissatisfaction with the game. Another can be explained by content creators giving up on the game. The Ranked Mode changes have definitely impacted the way that content creators play the game. With fewer big streamers covering Apex, Titch viewership for the game could continue to fall we might even see it reach a new low before the Season 18 release date.
