Following the surprise announcement of a Super Mario RPG remake, Nintendo has also revealed two more Mario games: a Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon remaster and a brand-new game featuring Princess Peach.
The new Princess Peach game looks to be a 2.5D sidescroller, though it doesn’t look like a platformer in the traditional sense. Very little info was was revealed about the new title aside from its star.
This is not the first time that Peach has starred in her own game. Back on the Nintendo DS, Nintendo released Super Princess Peach, a platformer in which Peach teams up with a talking umbrella.

As for Luigi’s Mansion, it’s a remaster of the 3DS game released in 2013. We called it “amazing” at the time, with our review saying, “Luigi’s Mansion 2 might be a sequel, but it’s one that shows Nintendo at its inventive best. It’s an essential game in the 3DS’ increasingly impressive line-up, and though I sometimes wished that it would leave me alone to explore more at my own pace, it’s otherwise difficult to fault a game this detailed, absorbing and masterfully made.”
Both games will release on Nintendo Switch next year.
The two games were revealed during a Nintendo DIrect that also included Super Mario Wonder and more. You can find everything announced here.
