Overwatch has had a bit of a mixed bag recently, with disappointing news for the game popping up fairly frequently. Even with Overwatch PVE cancelled and causing controversy though, the Overwatch League is still chugging along. In its new format for the 2023 Season, things are underway as we approach the Midseason Madness LAN! This weekend’s matches are going to round off the early part of the tournament and there are already a few teams looking strong in OWL 2023 Week 5.
These are all of the new matches that are coming this weekend. Along with which matchups are going to be the top ones to watch, and the strongest teams so far this season.

Which Matches to Watch
Those are all of the OWL 2023 Week 5 matches. There are some key clashes which are going to be important to watch over the event too. One of the most exciting matches is going to be Houston V Florida. At the moment, these two teams are fighting it out for second place. Houston is just ahead, but this direct match could be Florida chance to rise up to the top few spots for the season.

On the lower end of the OWL team standings, we’ve got Vegas V Toronto. Vegas is just floating above last place but hasn’t made much headway so far this season. Toronto Are similarly floating further down the rankings for OWL teams, this match could be either team’s chance to turn things around for the year.
Another big match is going to be Atlanta against Boston. Atlanta has been the standout so far. In OWL 2023 Week 5, they’ve got some tougher competition. Boston is currently sat just below the qualifier cut-off zone. Reign hasn’t lost so far this season, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can hold up against Boston.
Those are some of the highlights of the Western part of the League. The East this year has had a lot more OWL roster changes and other format alterations. They’re incorporating the Contenders teams this time. This has made a lot of the matches much more unpredictable this year. Most of these matches are worth tuning into this season.
