Is Brawlhalla Crossplay?
Brawlhalla does support crossplay! – If you’re on PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox Series X/S, One, PC, Android, Switch, or iOS you can play together with friends. Brawlhalla cross platform play has been a part of the game since late 2019.
You can join up with friends on any platform. Whether you’re playing on mobile or taking advantage of one of the best free Switch fighting games, you can still join up.
What about Brawlhalla cross progression though? – Having your progress track over multiple platforms is a bit of a different story.
Does Brawlhalla Cross Progression Work?
If you play Brawlhalla you can work to get access to loads of cosmetics. There’s Brawlhalla retro Battle Passes, free events that give cosmetics, and more. If you earn something on one platform, you’ll want to carry that item over to newer items. However, this didn’t come with the earlier platform update. A Brawlhalla cross progression update is going to be coming in an update soon. It’s due to release later in 2023. This will be a two-phase update. The first half will come with cross inventory. The second will specifically bring in cross-progression.
Cross-inventory will specifically allow you to carry items that you purchase from account to another. However, your currencies will not carry over. This might be due to some platforms having rules for revenue sharing for apps in their stores.
As with the esports of a lot of franchises, Brawlhalla competitive is typically played on PS4 as well. Since Sony purchased EVO, it’s become standard, not just for the best PlayStation fighting games. Cross progression is coming though.
Brawlhalla cross-progression is coming later. That will be a different progression update. You can link your account on every platform and progress through missions, Battle Passes, and everything else no matter what platform you’re on. This will all be done through your Ubisoft account.
These updates are coming to the game later. We can expect the first Brawlhalla cross platform inventory update in the coming months, maybe alongside the next events after the Brawlhalla 100 Brawlers event. After that, we can start looking at true cross progression.
