IGN was recently given an early look at Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk, an upcoming campaign book for Dungeons & Dragons that will focus on a beloved region of the Forgotten Realms: Phandalin. Here’s everything we know so far:

Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk is a prewritten adventure that takes place in Phandalin, a fictional town that many players will remember from the Lost Mines of Phandelver campaign that came bundled with the Dungeons & Dragons starter set from 2014, and which was many players’ first foray into 5E and tabletop roleplaying games in general.
Adventure Details
Speaking with IGN, a Wizards of the Coast representative described Phandelver and Below as “a traditional fantasy adventure with a classic D&D feel and a dark and foreboding twist that’s got a horror movie feel.”
The campaign will also “deepen the mystery of the obelisks found across Faerun,” and center on a group of Goblins’ sinister plot.
The adventure will also introduce new player options, including magic items, a beastiary, and will take players from level 1 to level 12 when played in its entirety.
