Ecumene Azted, a First-Person Survival Action-RPG, Announced

Developer Giantscraft has announced Ecumene Aztec, a new first-person survival action-RPG that’s in development for PC and due out in 2025.

In Ecumene Aztec, you play as an Aztec trying to withstand the assault of Spanish conquistadors in your Mesoamerican city. Giantscraft promises “a strong narrative, RPG progression with blood sacrifices, gritty combat, stealth gameplay, and crafting.” Take a look at the announcement trailer above and the first screenshots in the gallery below.

Other gameplay features include character upgrades via blood sacrifices, three unique character classes (Jaguar Warrior, Eagle Warrior, and Snake Warrior), a climbing system, and stealth gameplay.

We’ll have more on Ecumene Aztec as development progresses.
