The Come up 2023 is, well, coming up. This is a Canadian Smash Bros tournament that’s going to feature events for both Melee and Ultimate. Across both, there are some of the best Smash Bros players in the world attending. This is a smaller tournament, but it has still managed to attract some of the top talent in the game.
The Come Up 2023
Melee
For Melee, aMSa has been killing it this year. The Yoshi player is quickly becoming one of the very best Melee players. Heading into the Come Up, he’s coming off a great recent result. He’s just taken first place at DreamHack San Diego, with a few other big wins this season too. aMSa definitely looks like the player to watch at the Come Up 2023, and attending events like this show he’s not just resting on his current strong position.
The big question at the Come Up might be if anyone can actually take this win from aMSa. There are quite a few other players turning up at the event who are going to be decent competition. There’s moky, Aklo, n0ne, and Faust with a less conventional pick to match Yoshi in Jigglypuff.
There are 110 players coming the Come Up 2023, we’ll have to see if anyone has it in them to take down aMSa. There’s a $814 prize pool for Melee.
Ultimate at the Come Up 2023
Alongside the Melee event there’s going to be a full tournament for Ultimate at the Come Up 2023 too. There’s a bit less of a prize pool for this side of things with $860 CAD at stake. There are fewer players here though, with only 86 making it to the event.
Some of the bigger players attending here include Riddles, Tilde, and Gen. Riddles is one of the better players around right now and he’s likely the player to watch for in Ultimate.
How to Watch the Come Up 2023
