The OWL is returning for its 2023 season this weekend! While the East side of the League has already had a few matches with the contenders qualifying rounds, the full tournament starts up for its Spring Stage this week. Already in OWL 2023 Week 1 we have a good idea of what some of the most important matches and clashes are going to be.
These are the top match-ups to watch in the OWL Week 1. The games that should be appointment viewing if you want to see how the Overwatch League will play out this year.
OWL Week 1 Matches
Before we get into which matches are going to be must-watch, these are all of the fixtures being played in the opening week to Overwatch League 2023.

Top Matches to Watch
Seoul Dynasty V Seoul Inferno
This Seoul clash looks set to be one of the biggest of the opening weekend. It’s a battle between the two Seoul teams, with bragging rights to being Seoul’s top squad at stake in the very first weekend.
Dallas V Ganzhou Charge
This opening round for the Dallas Fuel is an early chance to estimate how their OWL roster changes have affected them. They won last year’s playoffs. Their OWL 2023 week 1 matches are the first chance to see if they can repeat that feet this year too.
San Francisco Shock V Atlanta Reign
The Shock V Reign matchup is another opportunity to see how one of the best teams in the League has held up into 2023. Both teams finished at dramatically different points on the leader board last year. If Atlanta can stand up to Shock, this could be the chance for a turnaround for them in 2023
Those are some of the bigger matches, but at this early stage all of these matches are going to matter for setting up how all the teams perform in the rest of the year. If you’re looking at Overwatch betting, these Week 1 matches set the tone for how teams will fare all year!
