Nintendo is going after the leaker who posted images of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s art book.

First reported by TorrentFreak, Nintendo has filed a subpoena request to Discord to discover the identity of the user responsible for the leak.

We’re not going into details of any of the spoiled images here, but in February, a Discord user called Julien#2743 allegedly posted images from Tears of the Kingdom’s art book. The art book is part of the unreleased Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition, which launches on May 12 alongside the standard edition of the game.

Naturally, the art book is filled with details about what players will discover in the upcoming Hyrulean adventure, which Nintendo clearly didn’t want out in the wild months before the game comes out. Nintendo of America filed an application for a subpoena that would require Discord to reveal the leaker’s identity.

“NOA is requesting the attached proposed subpoena that would order Discord Inc. (“Discord”) to disclose the identity, including the name(s), address(es), telephone number(s), and e-mail addresses(es) of the user Julien#2743, who is responsible for posting infringing content that appeared at the following Discord channel Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,” the document reads in part.

In a Reddit post that has since been deleted, the leaker claimed a friend sent them the art book images. But, it’s unclear if the leaker was telling the truth, or if the images originated from somewhere else.

Nintendo has been very secretive about Tears of the Kingdom. Despite being just a month from release, we’ve only gotten a handful of short, mysterious teaser trailers alongside last month’s 10-minute gameplay demonstration. The developer was even hesitant to reveal the title ahead of time, saying it would spoil what the game is about.

What we do know is that Tears of the Kingdom is set to be one of Nintendo’s biggest games ever. The file size is larger than any other first-party Nintendo Switch game, and Tears of the Kingdom also marks Nintendo’s first foray into the $70 price range. Nintendo is also going all-out on the hardware front, releasing a special edition Switch OLED, Collector’s Edition, pro controller, case, and amiibo all themed around Tears of the Kingdom.
