New Apex Legends Hotfix is Fixing Major Long-Term Bugs

Apex Legends’ ongoing performance problems have reached a boiling point in Season 16, but it looks like we’re getting quite a few fixes coming soon. The game’s bugs had gotten pretty bad. Most recently, one of the biggest streamers in Apex, Imperialhal, decided to leave the game over its “worst ever state”. The new Apex Legends hotfix is going some way to fixing some of the more pervasive problems.

Respawn is addressing the big problems that the game has with performance right now. Prior to getting Apex Legends Season 17, we’re getting a hotfix to address some of the bigger problems frustrating players this year.

Apex Legends Hotfix Will Fix Major Problems in Season 16

Over the past few months, big bugs have built up in Apex Legends. Respawn has said they’re going to be deploying a major fix for two of the biggest bugs.

The two bugs singled out are going to be the audio problems, and VFX drops. These are two bugs which have been caused a lot of problems in gameplay lately and having a big impact on how games go.

The new Apex Legends hotfix isn’t going to fix every problem. We might still get incidents like the ALGS server lag that derailed recent competitive matches.

Respawn have specified they’re going to be repairing a good number of the bugs, but this will be a more long-term process. They’ll need to drop more Apex Legends hotfixes over time to iron out all of the problems.

Respawn has confirmed that the patch is already live in the game. Quite a few Apex streamers and players have already seen the news, and welcomed it as a move forward for Apex Legends.

Thank you for your transparency and communication 👍

The Apex Legends hotfix isn’t the end of all of these problems. Hopefully as we move forward into Season 17 and the next stage for Apex Legends esports though, we’ll see more progress in getting the game back into shape.
