How to Play the Street Fighter 6 Demo
The new demo from Street Fighter 6 was released as part of the SF 6 Showcase, along with a load of new details about how the game was going to work on launch! The new demo is the widest yet. You don’t need to apply for access. The entire demo is free to play and open to everyone. Although, it’s only on one platform.
The new demo is available on the PlayStation Store. You can play it on both PS4 and PS5. However, other platforms aren’t getting the new Street Fighter 6 demo. This one is strictly limited to PlayStation, unfortunately.
What’s in the Demo?
The new demo is a chance to try things out, but it’s pretty limited in what you have access to. There’s a decent chunk of the new World Tour mode available. You can play through the opening section here and test out how it’s going to work. This includes exploring areas of the city and meeting some well-known Street Fighter 6 characters.
Alongside World Tour, there are a few more game modes you can try out. There’s the full character creator. There are a few more game modes, although online play is missing entirely.
You can find One on One Battles, and a couple of Extreme Battle Modes, as well as the tutorials that are available to get to grips with each of the characters.
For playable characters, there are only going to be two of them for the Street Fighter 6 demo. There’s Luke and Ryu. This includes some of the most iconic fighters, so it’s a nice start. There’s also Genbu Temple and Training Room available for Stages.
The demo is a more limited form of the game. If you want to get a feel for how combat feels in the new game though, this is a great starting point. There’s even time to seriously lab out the two included characters before Street Fighter 6 esports kick off with the game’s full launch.
