While Apex esports has had a few problems lately like ALGS server lag, the game itself has been focusing on improving the current content for the season. With a new season, Apex is looking forward once again.

Apex Legends Season 17 Revealed

Just a little while after the Hero first leaked, Respawn has fully unveiled Apex Legends Season 17. We’re getting a new Hero after Season 16 was the first not to add a new character. The new addition to the Legend roster is going to be Ballistic. The character is an older Legend and an Assault class character. His kit is built around weaponry, as the name Ballistic implies. He’s a character who leaked back in March, although others have leaked more recently too.

Other new content revealed for Apex Legends Season 17 includes a few new changes. There’s an updated map for World’s Edge and the Firing Range. These refreshes help to keep the game’s original content still relevant despite all the changes that have come over the years.

The game will also be bringing in a new Weapon Mastery feature. It’s a system where you can complete challenges around specific weapons to get rewards. On top of that, there are some changes coming to the Apex Legends ranked mode.

Season 17 Release Date

We’ve got the full reveal of everything for Apex Legends Season 17, but when is it actually hitting the game? The new content is going to launch on May 9th! Players can jump in then and see how the new season plays.

The last season of Apex saw Respawn focusing on the game’s existing content. This was a welcome change. Although, the title has plenty of bugs and problems which don’t seem to be getting resolved, including a broken Collection event that still hasn’t been fixed for affected players. While some players have some problems with the game trajectory, a new season is a chance to see how the quality-of-life changes in Season 16 work once we get more Legends added into the pool.
