The next Tekken game is coming up soon, with even more content getting shown off pretty regularly. It has some steep competition from titles like Street Fighter 6 though, so we’re expecting a show-stopping roster of Tekken 8 characters to be launching alongside it.
While the latest instalment in this one of the top fighting games is still a little way off, we’ve got a good idea of all Tekken characters that are going to be in it. Even a glimpse at those that might be coming later through Tekken 8 leaked characters!

All Tekken 8 Characters
So far, we’ve got confirmation of 11 different Tekken 8 characters that will come to the game. These are largely those who have a longer history in the franchise. Some of these also include Palette swaps or other versions though which does inflate the total number of characters a bit from that base. These are all of the Tekken 8 characters we’ve had confirmed so far that we’ll see in Tekken 8 early access.

Some of these Tekken 8 characters are being changed around from their past appearances! This includes some like Jun whose been re-imagined by the character designer from Bayonetta. Which of these will be the strongest for rising up the Tekken ranks is still a mystery though.

Tekken 8 Leaked Characters
Along with all of those confirmed fighters coming to the game, there’s going to be more. We don’t have the full roster yet, but some likely leaks have revealed quite a few of the other Tekken characters showing up. These are those that have leaked so far.

These characters were spotted in behind-the-scenes footage shown in a news report on the game’s development on Japanese station NHK. The leaks actually came through recording motion capture for the characters. Their costumes and movements associated with their moves were being performed by the actors! While we shouldn’t know about these characters right now, dedicated fans were sharp enough to spot these two just from just this little footage!

Those are all of the Tekken 8 characters we know about so far. What about the Tekken 7 roster though?
Looking at the past game’s final line-up of characters can give us a hint about what’s coming next and who we can expect to show up in the base game and DLC. These are the characters from Tekken 7 that we haven’t seen in the sequel just yet. Although, in here there are some that might not be coming back, like a crossover with Street Fighter characters.
