LEC 2023 Spring Groups – Teams and Schedule

Below are the eight teams that have qualified for the Spring Playoffs (ordered by seeding):

#1 – Team BDS
#2 – Astralis
#3 – G2 Esports
#4 – Vitality
#5 – SK Gaming
#6 – Fnatic
#7 – KOI
#8 – MAD Lions

The LEC Spring Regular split was yet again another tournament full of surprises. Not only did we witness the rise of Team BDS and Astralis, but we also got the chance to see the revival of Fnatic, who managed to clinch the top 6 with a 4-win streak. Watch out for them during the next phase: they might be a dark horse.

On top of that, MAD Lions struggled to deliver during this first part of the Spring Split, having finished only eighth by beating Team Heretics in the tiebreaker. Considering they were second place last split, things might get worrying for them soon, as they risk losing the spot to MSI.

Among the 10 teams, there is only one other team that has failed expectations: XL Esports. The first ended last once again, after the disastrous start in Winter. With two of the three splits already over for them, they will have to hope for a miracle run and bounce back during Summer.

G2 Esports and Vitality have more or less met the expectations, as both of them were only one win away from the first spot. Bo3s will prove whether they are actually better than what they showed so far.
