What to Expect from D&D Direct 2023
As stated earlier, D&D Direct 2023 is sure to have a focus on Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, given the movie is due out at the end of the month. Wizards of the Coast has been throwing a lot of energy into advertising the film, and they’re not going to stop right before the finish line. But newcomers should also expect a welcoming committee of sorts, as it makes sense for newbies to be intrigued (and maybe even converted) before Honor Among Thieves comes out. If you’re D&D-curious, this is a presentation you’ll want to sit in on.
D&D veterans should attend as well, since we’ll be treated to some new reveals. We’re on the cusp of the playdnd rollout, and we’ll be getting a good look at the virtual tabletop that was built with Unreal Engine 5. We last heard about that project in summer, so it’s had some time to grow. All will be engraved in stone on March 28.
